The work of the  branch is to provide protocol facilities to the Chief Minister, Ministers and  Senior Officers of Govt. of NCT of Delhi by getting clearance from MHA, MEA,  Ministry of Finance and also to provide protocol facilities at the time of departure and arrival of the delegation at the Airport.

The office has also to look after the whole arrangement for booking of Lodging and Boarding, Local/Internal Transport arrangements, Airport Lounge in abroad through Indian Mission in these countries and settle the bills of these arrangements after completion of foreign visit, receive them as inward claim from MEA, Govt. of India.

The office has to also provide  protocol facilities to the visiting delegation of foreign countries who visit to Delhi Secretariat for meeting with Chief Minister of Delhi/ different Minister’ office/this office.

The office has to also perform protocol duties in different functions viz. Bharat  Utsav Celebration, Oath Ceremonies, etc. and organising the whole work of the mega event Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas.
